In 1996, Aaron Sprinkle quit Poor Old Lu and formedRose Blossom Punch. Poor Old Lu gave us a few glimpses of how well Aaron could sing but with Rose Blossom Punch, Aaron stepped to the front and finally we were able to hear his amazing voice.
They released their first full length, Ephemere on SaraBellum/Five Minute Walk records and for fans of noise pop it was a solid record.
For the last several years of the 90s there were plenty of rumors followed by radio silence from the Rose Blossom Punch camp. They switched over to the Jackson Rubio label and then pretty much disappeared.
In early 2001 mp3.com released the long awaited Rose Blossom Punch EP "Sorry to Disappoint You". Thankfully I had pre-ordered it so I got a hard copy in the mail. I've not seen it available online or otherwise so consider this a treat!
Tracklisting:
1. Ensign
2. Sweet and Ordinary
3. It All Comes Down
4. A Little While
5. Tuesday Morning
6. Sleepily
Fun Fact: Online this EP is listed as "So Sorry to Disappoint You" but on the CD it's printed "Sorry to Disappoint You"
So_sorry_to_Dissappoint_You.rar - yeah, i know 'disappoint' is misspelled because I'm an idiot but the link should still work.
